    what? the front...like since oil came out it as the breather is on the driver side and it laid on the driver side. IT coulda got plugged or something.

    Well, Ian was referring to the rear and you responded yo him without clarifying you were referring to the front. :cool:

    Just disconnect the breather line at the diff and blow air through it. That would simulate pressure from the diff. if its blocked, take it off completely and maybe run some solvent thru it.

    The water can't get in as long as the diff remains 'hot'. At running temps there is a positive pressure within the diff. Cold water will cool it off quickly which can create a negative pressure situation and suck the water into the diff. It doesn't take very much water in the diff oil to ruin the lubricating properties of the oil and ruin the bearings in the diff.

    The extention eliminates the problem but potentially creates another. If the extended line or the little vent is clogged, the pressure in the hot diff gits too high and starts to push oil past the axle seals.

    Yeah, it is all about how long the diff is underwater.

    Oh, if your diff is running @200 you got bigger problems anyway. Mine runs at about 120* at freeway speeds. It pretty close to that on the trail too.

    ya. him and his dad (driver and co driver team) are part of a race team that runs in the class 10 group. He invited me for 2012 to run as part of the one of the chase truck crews but i didnt get enough time to plan for it and I would have missed a week and a half of school. So heres to hoping I can get in for baja 1000 2013!

    his class 16 car he has in his garage is at i think 16" or travel? the team pre runner they were working on is going to be at about 20-22" of travel and the clas 10 baja race truck is some where at 26 I believe. But then again i might have fucked up the number since he told me a while ago.
