Idk. It is a good deal but you still need to come up with the cash for longer shocks, limit straps, rear fiberglass since the up travel will rub his stock fenders with the 35" tires. Maybe remove the shock hoops and cut into the bed

I disagree. He has 12" 2.5s now. Those will be plenty for his use of the truck. He can pull the bed sides to clear the tires. Limit straps and tabs are pretty cheap.

So pay a grand to stay with the same travel numbers and a lower rear height? He needs to redesign his rear to gain the benefit of SUA. I agree that the kit can be upgraded slowly over time and that's it's a good kit, but also think about the associated cost

I dont think he is using all of the shock as it is. The kit will pull up to 15" and he could get 14" with a 12" shock. Might have to redesign shock mounts but doubt it. The main benefit is the lower ride height and increase in bump travel. It is not all about big travel numbers but the effective use of the travel you have. You will see more benefit in larger bump numbers than droop numbers. Then he can take some pre load off the front and have a better ride. Fixedtrd's truck is running a 12" bypass and pulls 14". Granted it is a DMZ kit but if the rear is capable the the shock will allow it.

The offroad ride is so much nicer from when my truck use to sit really low compared to now.

From all the measurements i have taken my shock hoops will be fine that are currently on the truck. I'd rather have 12" of travel in the rear perfectly tuned than run 18" triple bypasses that dont have the proper valving. My main concern, which ive brought up before is the odd size of my 12's, they are 3" longer than any other 12" on the market.

And i've been planning to get glass bedsides anyways as i think my truck looks goofy with only flares in the front.

You can buy shorter rod ends and they are easy to swap. Plus it is less work and hassle to redo shock mounts IF they need to, than it is to try and sell a non direct replacement shock and buy a new ones.

It seems to me that switching to the allpro standards will get you to where you want (lower rearend) and wont dent your house savings(strait trade). Going SUA is just going to open Pandora's box. I guess I'm acting as your conscious but you have an ideal mid travel that you can focus on fine tuning.

David I respect your opinion very much my friend!

I had always kicked the idea around of SUA anyways, for the reason being that I gain up travel and can still have a low ride height which is what I want. Switching to standards really won't benefit except a little lower ride height
