just a guess, but a day or less, if you prep the donor spring before puling the pack the down time will be shortened.

Depending on mech. ability & tools, it'd take you about a day, it takes me about 4 hours to break down/cut donors/re assemble/install as an example

HA ! If only !!! Sir !! You flatter me !!...:p:D

Actually it takes me a couple hours if the donor leafs are already cut/groomed & ready, like jake said it does save on time, I wish it was as easy as just grabbing any leaf, hack on it to fit, paint it to match, it takes at least a day on my own dime to locate/retrieve, sometimes a weekend to get the right leafs for 1 build & I haven't even put a cut wheel to it yet...:eek:

But the end result is worth it.....

These are going to New Mexico.....very functional linear spring that kills axle wrap in its tracks, carry a decent load & still articulate well offroad "with" a load...

    Haha, zero gravity with OMD...

On a side note the new springs I'm running on the rear were butter smooth on landing, pretty much the reason I hucked it in the first place was a little shake down R&D....:)

So for a while ive been thinking my Rancho shocks were too short for my OMD packs so i decided to investigate today. Turns out theyve been my limit straps...

Heres how much droop i should have:
    IMAG0466_zps1f6cb8ed_83ce454fdd5de0a20e7ae86e846464bf8fe418dd.jpg
    (Shocks are unbolted)
    IMAG0468_zps335a4fb4_59583e0f75c38c7eb36809430b1096f91db002dd.jpg
you can see where the shock is ussually mounted is about 3 inches lower then where the bottom of the shock is. The shocks are fully extended.

With what I put the truck through, these are the strongest shocks ive ever seen. They are definately limiting my travel though so time for new shocks

OMD Spring update: still kicking ass

    Look at build!
If You's guys are referring to me, I haven't done the 63's yet unfortunately. Probably going to wait till I do the SAS before I do it.. & I actually did this mod a loong time ago before this thread was created iirc, then since I've done probably 4 other members trucks, I lost count,, or maybe I just didn't know about it! Either way, keep up the good work Doug!

Found a spring place near school. Is $20 per leaf too much? This is for brand new, individual leafs. So $80 for 4 brand new leafs. He even offered to cut them to length for me but I can't find the lengths in here again.
