Haha I might do that this weekend, is there a place to mount it that doesn't require me to drill a hole???

    buy whats more beneficial first.
i originally bought a elite, had mounting problems sold it, bought sliders instead.
next weekend after i welded them on, i would have wrapped up against a tree without them! very very glad i had sliders instead of a bumper.

Haha yeah... I'll probably stick with my original idea:
Buy sliders and do a lot of little mods for the rest of this year, then buy both front and rear ELITE bumpers at the same time next year.

Haha and let me guess, you'd gladly take the second bumper off my hands?

I have a 2nd Gen, so I'm not sure about that, but in the 2nd Gens at least, they have 2 threaded holes on either side of the engine compartment closer to the cab than the front. Maybe 1st Gens have something similar? Or you just zip tie them real good to something.

Haha I'm wanting to say that there's a hole off to the passenger side, I'm not sure though...

Get things in the order that you need em. If you're not being limited often by not having plate bumpers then you don't need em, no matter how epic they look.

If you think about it the several thousand you'll spend on a second pickup will take many years to even out just to get a few mpg better. Say you make your first gen awesome and the way you want and get 13 mpg, and your stocker pretty 2nd gen gets 18. Now when you drive your $15,000-$25,000+ second gen you'll be getting 5mpg better. . .

I'd keep the 1st gen and buy a Subaru :D You can lift Foresters ya know

The tires and rims look GREAT!!! What a difference a little extra rubber makes. Well done on the combination. :D

Haha well the 2nd gen isn't necessarily for gas mileage, it's for my future family. 1st gen is a little too small for a family in my opinion haha plus if/when I move to a different base I really don't want to drive my trail set-up Tacoma 1000+ miles. I want to get a double-cab long-bed so I can carry plenty of people and have plenty of storage as well.

Thanks! It makes it look so much better! I wasn't sure about the wheels at first, I was thinking about going with some nicer looking 16's. But now I'm glad I didn't!
