Got my debit and credit card info stolen again. Apparently they got into my wellsfargo online account and transferred money from my credit card to my debit then charged 50+ times for Starbucks gift cards. Freaking sucks and I luckily have a different credit card to get by.

I had my wells fargo info stolen about a year ago. Luckily I was able to get temporary credit issued that day while they figured everything out. All the purchases were for online computer parts or some shit I believe and they cancelled all the charges and set me up with a new checkings, savings and credit card within a couple days.

Bah I just got a wells fargo account.
Honestly I think its the same story everywhere. Ive gotten my money stolen alot using bank of america too. Sadly I think this is just something we have to worry about now. It really is BS. Im trying to not do much online spending/online banking but its hard, especially when some places ONLY options for paying your bills are online (internet for me) there is no local bill pay place.

I dont think that matters though. Most companies have their accounts in online "secure" databases

I lost 66k through online banking. They also started up checking accounts/atm/credit cards using the same infor that this acct had.

But that was a while ago. I haven't had issues since.

We won't use our debit card anywhere. It's credit card or cash only (most CC for the rebates). We've had our CC info stolen twice in the last couple of years. Happened just a couple of months ago, but Capital One caught it immediately. Within 15 minutes, they tried to make about 50 different charges from things like $5 at Planned Parenthood to $800 on a travel site, $5 for republic/democratic party (can't remember which one), and a lot of attempts to internet registration sites. My guess is they have these set up for money laundering purposes. But it's nice when they stop them immediately and call you to take care of it. With those experiences, no way do I want to risk my money using the debit/visa card. So my advice is get a CC that you use like a debit card. Charge everything you can to it and pay it off each month. Doesn't cost you a thing and you'd be surprised what it does for your credit scores.

On another note, I have to laugh when I see a thread revived on TN where some of the old members that are now on TW had posted. MJ...

Planning on going down to UCD Burn Center tomorrow to visit my sister. She had an allergic reaction to a common antibiotic for a bladder infection and got TENS. When she met her doctor at the hospital in Roseville, they immediately intubated her and sent her via ambulance to the burn center. She's got chemical burns over 52 percent of her body from the reaction. I guess the odds of this happening are one in a million. But they caught it in time and looks like she'll live (was iffy there when she first arrived). She's been sedated and going through the process. Luckily they're mostly first degree burns so they think her skin will regrow from underneath. She's supposed to be there for about 30 days and then another 30 days recovering at home.

Second time in her life she's spent time in a burn ward. When she was 10, she got caught in a barbed wire fence trying to escape a gasoline fire that occurred at the neighbors when they were working on a car that caught fire. She spent a lot of time with a lower leg burn in a hospital in Auburn that doesn't exist anymore (was right there at the Elm offramp where daughtry's is/used to be).

Holy hell Jim. I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds just about one of the worst things a person can go though. I'm glad the doctors were able to catch it in time and she's being treated.
