Well as the video shows I have a squeak in my front suspension. I've had it since I put my icon front c/o's on and got an alignment. I've searched many threads but nothing has helped. I installed the light racing control arm because I thought maybe my old uca was squeaking but that wasn't the case. I've ruled out many possible things that could cause the squeak but have come back to the shock making the noise but no clue where. I've contacted icon and the shocks are still under warranty so ill see what they have to say. So far they told me to put some grease on the shaft below the seal to see if it goes away but it didn't do anything. I might have to send them in to get checked out. Anybody else have or solve this problem? Thank you for any help.

Did you grease your bushings on your UCA's? If not, that's the sound of the bushings rubbing and they will start to tear over time.

Yeah that's what I made sure I did. I can cycle the uca's alone with no squeak but when I cycle the lca and shock I get the squeak.

    turn the radio up...

but check your torque on the UCA and LCA bolts (loosen them and bounce on the truck to get it to move a little bit) and spray some silicone/teflon(whatever kind you want) grease/lubricant in there and retorque. might help a little bit.

I thought you weren't supposed to grease LR UCAs because they have rubber bushings like stock.

Is the coil over assembly in correct? If installed backwards it will contact the sway bar and squeak. This is a lesson learned experience. There is a notch for sway bar clearance.

Yeah I double/triple checked my work and even disconnected the sway bar but still have the squeak.

Sorry, I don't have LRs so i'm not sure, but I thought I read on here that you dont' grease them because the rubber bushings do not pivot. They stay fixed and the rubber allows the flex, like the stock UCAs.

Well just to let everyone know. I found the squeak. It was the icon shocks. Dont know what part of the shock but I am sending it to them to get it fixxed. We'll see what they say.

    Interesting...

I have a very similar squeak with the same coilovers and no matter how many times I grease the UCA's and uniball, it never goes away.

Can you please elaborate on what they are fixing/replacing? Also how much did they charge you for servicing the shocks?

I dont know yet what part they are fixing/replacing. They will probably let me know when they recieve my shocks and go over them. Ill let you know when they get back to me. My shocks are still under warranty so idk what it will cost. Hopefully nothing because i've had this problem since i got the shocks new.

I thought the same thing but turned out to be the shocks.
