    LOL!
    Great minds think alike.

But a Seaport made serviceable by a man-made channel doesn't count.

Is anyone referring to Michigan as "Atlantic North East"?
St Lawrence and the Erie Canal give it access to the Atlantic.

    Doesn't count.

Without state borders, the whole area would just be "up there".... or maybe "over there" to OZ and "down there" to Ben.

thats what I have determined this debate boils down to, which mtn range is a better boundary. If you are saying rockies are the more logical choice as the boundary than you sort of just said that idaho is in the pnw.

btw can you show me a text that uses the cascaded as a PNW boundry? I have yet to see any.

so if the cascades are your choice for the PNW boundary than are you leaving 2/3 of Oregon and Washington out of the PNW as well? If you draw a line straight up from the cascades into BC then you would also have half of BC not in the PNW also.

also also, what part of Idaho are you in?

and? if there were no state borders and it was all just big clumps of land wouldn't it just make sense to just say everything west of the biggest mountain range in the west is the same region? Why break it up and complicate it?

    Hey guys

This argument will go on forever if we let it so
oz is using 2 states and a province
most people today use ROCKIES WEST as far as I can tell
Depending on opinion we are all right
SO MOST AMERICANS SAY IT IS PART OF PACIFIC NORTHWEST
IM NOT CANADIAN BUT SEEMS THIER OPINIONS DIFFER FROM OURS
I live in IDAHO born and raised and it is not anybody's retarded
cousin unlike some CALIFORNIAN who thinks he knows
IDAHO is unique and great THANKS AGAIN GUYS
BEST ANSWER IS DEPENDS ON WHO YOU ASK LOL
