Jim it's a good thing that they caught it so fast and that it seems she will come through this. I'm hoping that they are able to minimize the pain for her.

    Wishing her a speedy recovery

Where did you end up going? I got mine "road-forced balanced" from a shop down the street but my wheels feel the same. Could it be that they're too big(18"s)? I want to get other ones eventually but for now they are the ones i bought the truck with.. :/

I went to this place called Pasilla's Tire in Watsonville. They have done a good job in the past and are cheap. After driving home I have a slight vibration, but something that is manageable. It was scary before. I'm tempted to just sell these tires this summer and get some Treadwrights. I'm just sick of dealing with vibrations.

Sounds good, you got the new style that has the sidewall redone correct? I was planning on going with them before, but found mine for what I thought was a good deal.

Yep full bead to bead. Didn't see any solid reviews on the BTB version so I was going to maybe do one.

Already off to a bad start haha. The mechanic in the shop told me they aren't going to ride well at all. Really Shakey and stuff. It's not a balancing issue but a tire itself issue or some shit.

What method are they using to balance them?

Anybody know how heavenly is right now?

I'm rolling to south lake in a little bit here, I am trying to determine if it's worth it to drop the money on a ticket. I could personally go either way with ticket prices and the fact that I don't like heavenly that much...

I've only ridden twice this year, and my GF has ridden once, so she REALLY wants to ride again... But she also has to rent equipment.

    Any thoughts?

It's shitty right now in S. Tahoe. But if she really wants to board and you're in that area, why not board Sierra? You can get a pair of lift tickets at costco for $110 total, as oppose to ~$100 for one ticket at Heavenly

I'm not sure. I told them to use the static balance like the tire instructions said. They ended up riding perfectly fine. No wobble and shake but I do need an alignment which I'm getting in a few days.
