Roger that. Hope you find a box that'll fit behind your seats AND provide the needed volume for a ported setup. A ported sub requires more volume than a sealed sub does. Notice in the description for those subs that the volume they need is for an ENCLOSED box.
I don't know much about the shallow subs, maybe they won't require as much volume as a regular sub would. I can say with confidence that you wouldn't get the sound quality you desire in this vehicle, with a ported box, and normal subs. But, maybe the thin ones will work in the space you have. Let me know how it turns out if you go that route, just curious.
Make sure you check out the volume specs for a ported enclosure when sub shopping. Some manufacturers don't even list or won't recommend ported boxes for certain subs. I'm 42 years old and have been messing with this stuff since back in the 80's. I'm not an expert by any means but I do have a good bit of experience hands-on and I'm a big dreamer so I shop alot and from what I've seen, sometimes the volume spec for a ported sub enclosure can be 2x or more the volume spec for the same sub in a sealed enclosure.

A coursing to memphis the specs do not change from sealed to ported with this particular sub.

Cool. Like I said, I'm no expert. But now I may be jealous if you're able to round up a ported box/sub combo that sounds good.

Seriously, post up or PM me with whatever you get setup. I really would've liked to have gone ported if I could have found the right setup. Thanks.

Lol, I can always bore holes in my box and buy different subs if the ported sound is there. I have an old ford ranger that is setup with 2 12's in a ported box that I have always thought sounded really good, but the new sounds from my Taco blow that setup out of the water and I would never want what I have in that truck setup in my Taco. I would have to hear someone else's setup in a taco like mine to compare to see if I would change anything about it. Probably done with the audio mods to my Taco for a long time at least...too many other things I wana do to it.
