I got one sub $30 because it said "1st gen" in the description, but I recognized the holes line up on the 2nd gen.

I ordered a set of interior LEDs (map and dome), as well as the DTRL mod. Everything functions exactly as expected, and looks great. The installation instructions were very easy to follow, and accurate. Chris was also very helpful, and answered all of my questions. One of my resistors came damaged due to USPS mis-shipping it and being a day late, but Chris immediately shipped one the next day. One piece of advise for those going to do it, the low-profile style mini fuses that come in the tacoma do not fit into the add-a-circuit you will need. You will need 2 regular ATM fuses. I had to make an extra trip to Autozone because I bought them in advance without checking first. Overall, it was fairly easy to do and would recommend buying these to anyone with a free afternoon.

Glad you got everything installed nice. Post some pics if you get time. You are right about the add a circuit. Its a mini fuse the same size as the compacts that are stock in our trucks but have feet sticking out instead of not.

Im playing with the idea of adding the add a circuit into the kit for the 2012-2013 for convenience. Havent worked out the details on that yet though.

If anyone thinks that would be a good idea let me know.

How are the red lights for night use. I am wondering cause if the were, how would one white and one red work out for the map lights. I am thinking of getting the cab light, and both map lights in my 2012.

Do you just pop out the bulbs and place these in?

 

I can say from experience that the red maps reduce night blindness very well. A lot of people do one of each so that if your needing more light you can have the white one.

And yes sir they are plug n play. Pop old out Install new.

Installed my White/Amber Switchback DTRLs, Marker Lights, and Interior light today. The instructions on the Switchbacks were easy to follow and the perform perfectly. Enentually I'm going to to replace my 4300k HIDs with 5000k or 6000k so that they match the LEDs a little better.
