After installing Jon's seats and wrestling with the WRX brackets that allegedly should line up with the factory threads in the floor pan (with a little modification) we decided the easiest way to have done it would be to line up some flat iron with the threads, then weld them to the seat brackets.

It would have been pretty smooth install at that point.

I am kinda wondering if mine would be any smoother for install since I already have buckets in the truck. Kmok's install he said was fairly simple without the need for much fabrication. I am trying to find out more about his install.

Yeah 45acp conferred with Kmok prior to install also and it wasn't as simple as the latter's install.

And regardless if you have buckets or 60/40 or bench all the holes/threads in the floor pan and tranny hump are in the same place. (98.3% positive on that)

I am too jelly, those seats look snazzy. I bet their super comfy too.

Also, looks like someone needs a black steering wheel, you should get a black 4runner one. Unless of course you can dye that.

Yeah I'm always on the prowl for a black 4runner one or better yet a Supra GT. Just can't drop the coin on the latter.

But I'm going to dye all the pieces I can and probably just wrap the steering wheel for the mean time.

But the upper dash panel will always bug me. I might paint it with a foam brush.

I'm on my phone but if you go to my build thread there's a post about it.

Basically we cut the brackets off my Tacoma seats and welded them on to the Subaru seat rails (after cutting those brackets off)

As anyone found any aftermarket seats or other brand seats that are a similar color to the OEM ones? I'm looking for something like the factory grey interior color. I like any mods to look as factory as possible so color is a big deal.
