I know I can take the stickers off but why do I want to pay $400+ for something that is going in the trash can.

I guess you could get there with no graphics, tow pkg., or add ons. The one I just priced out is $37 with tow and floor mats. If I can get the $3.5k off that I was offered on the Tforce then it is game on.

The one I looked at had the huge graphics on the bed. Not sure about tow package. It was a black, auto 4 door. Sharp truck! It was 36 something.

First you call me a ******** for disagreeing with your off topic post. Then YOU sent me a stupid pm of which i replied to. You followed up with another stupid pm.

I never said anything about you not having class. Where are you coming up with this? I didn't call your truck ****** either. Do you have some reading comprehension problems or just a couple of loose screws?

I said you're a ******, but that is obvious to anyone reading this thread.

You're both being douches. Some prefer to build up their trucks themselves others prefer to buy as is from the factory. Take them on a trail they're both going to go the same places. Anyone who wheels hard is going to laugh at a warranty anyway. Who gives a fuck. Keep your HS bickering to PMs if you're worried about getting the last word in.

I also don't own the Baja (nor would I pay that price for it, but that's just my opinion), but it's hard to argue it's a damn good looking truck. For those that own the Baja, I see why you bought it. For those that don't, I see why you decided to build it yourself.

argument and name calling is against the CoC and has been reported

cmon guys it's the fucking internet. don't get so pissed off.

The baja has some added stuff, basically beefier bilsteins front/rear. It's no huge upgrade but it's something.
Comparable to OME/other budgetish aftermarket parts? Sure, especially since it was designed for the truck.
The idea behind the baja is to appeal to owners who want a better-than-stock suspension/capability without the hassle of going through and parting it themselves. Other parts will perform better, but the market for the baja isnt aimed at suspension modders anyway.

Is it overpriced? Maybe, maybe not- if they have the money to buy it then who the fuck cares if they bought it.

arguing over this shit is fucking pointless, it'll just get you guys banned and butthurt. Don't agree with something? don't post.

Now I am almost sorry that I started this. I know a decent deal on a plain TRD is 10% off MSRP. I am just trying to figure out if this applies to a Baja. I want some real world numbers to keep in mind when the real negotiating starts.

I don't own a Baja. I did however inquire about pricing before the 2013 Baja was released.

I don't have a hard definite number, my dealer quoted me the higher 37k ish price, but did seem to think I could get them down to the range you are looking for.

As for the Baja build vs the other optional builds. There are some internet reveiws of the Baja against a few other brand trucks and it faired well. Placed second if I remember correct.

In the end, I opted out of the Baja, and decided to keep my 2010 and do some mods. Obviously I won't have the same truck since mine is a 2wd prerunner.

Overall though, if someone did buy a non Baja and just upgrade to a high end Fox, Icon or King setup on all four corners that would be a very worthy truck too. The thing already mentioned is warranty concerns. As for vibration issues, obviously the travel would need to be setup similar to a Baja.

In regards to the Baja parts being aftermarket available, I did call Bilstien and the answer is no, not available.

To close this, I do not know the OP situation and desire to have a Toyota. While shopping I also researched and got a chance to check out a Raptor. More money, more gas, but a pretty worthy truck out of the box. If I was still in the market to buy new, I would look hard at both trucks unless price or MPG ruled the big truck out.

Have fun, and enjoy the truck, whichever one you buy.

    PK
