    Probably a good stragety. The dummies that bought one and realized "What the heck did I buy this for" will be selling them. The price will be less and there will be back in stock at dealers by then as well.

    Sometimes it pays to be patient.

    Im too old , just never liked the made by mattel look . Something about the old wood and steel. Less then 2 weeks in V.N. and I had traded in the 16 for a old M14. I have been on the catching end of a AK but never hated the weapon just the hands using it. I still love the pop, pop, pop of the AK. Looked at the new red army CZ and Russian made 858 mark 2. Thing is tight and well made But cant do the 1,200 beans at this time.rifle_1_2_c06277685cc8a24ab455f00f351495d9f6b2b686.jpgThis also comes with wood in place of the bakelite,,, same cost but must be ordered as such..

    Mark: Good to hear good news about Lynn.

    Yes! I think some people that bought the assault weapons are in for a big surprise, unless they bought early and sold them when the prices went crazy.

    :pccoffee::pccoffee:

    Worked on a fish fry for my son's 8th grade class yeaterday. I was there from 10 to 10. Still tired today and my one foot hurts a little. Took a shower 1st thing this morning to grt rid of the grease smell and feel clean. Still need to return a burner, pot, and propane tank to a rental place this morning.

    We had three burners going for the event. After paying expenses we made almost $800 for the 8th grade class trip. ;)

    Yes!
    Funny you should mention that. Beltzville has some nice Perch, and when they spawn you can do well. They are excellent table fare also.

    Evening everyone - just back from VA.

    I got to spend two days with my son - and also Saturday evening with his fiance and her twin daughters. Great time!!

    I spent the weekend on Range #1 of the USMC Weapons Training Battalion at Quantico, VA. I competed in a 2 day sniper rifle competition that had rifles from WWII up to modern platforms. We also had some of the Weapons Battalion cadre compete with us.

    We shot team matches at 300 and 600 yards, and an individual match at 600 yards yesterday. Today we shot team at 600 and 800 yards and then an individual match at 1000 yards.

    Today , one of the young Marine corporals was shooting with us. He was using a USMC Vietnam era sniper rifle (an M40) and I offered to let him try my WWII Soviet Mosin Nagant PU sniper rifle at 800 yards. He jumped at the chance and, right as he was about to fire the first round, one of his sergeants warned him that these rifles can bite. Despite that warning, he caught the bolt in the chin experience. After 4 rounds he declared his shoulder was toasted (I shot about 140 rounds over the 2 days with this rifle). He is a great young Marine and now has a "war story" to tell tomorrow when he has to explain the large bruise on his chin.
