For Nissans the LTs start making power around 2500 and pull the whole way through. And the shorties are better for torque for us. But our engines are pretty different, even though they are pretty similar..

 

yeah im not sure if i really need additional power over 2500rpm... thats when im already getting sunk in my seat anyway. i want more low end torque i think

 

Ahh, I knida like my low end, but I feel it lacking after 4k.

Do you have a tuner? If the Taco comes with a WOT restriction, I would remove that and you will really feel it!

WOT= Wide Open Throttle restriction. Almost all Nissan's since 05ish have it, most Honda's have it. If your truck is drive by wire, it probably has it. It will only allow the throttle body to open 40% throttle until ~35mph no matter what the throttle input is. Its to protect drive line components. Usually goes away when you put it in 4Lo on Nissan's.

I got rid of my WOT and it is a night and day difference as far as low end!

I also been working with Nissan about replacing my axle under warranty, I could just see what they would say if I blew it up pulling a Taco around town

My friend cut them for me. We put tape on top before cutting it with the laser so I could spray pains and then peel the tape off. I can get him to make something up for you if we can have the hubcap to measure.

If you are talking about the chrome logo, it should pop off from behind then you can spray it and snap it back on.

holy crap id knock that guy out if that were me getting pulled like that. then again....
i dont think id ever play tug-o-war with a truck that just sounds like too much damage to deal either way. i wouldn't mess up anyones truck like that and i'd hope the other guy wouldn't try do the same to me.

 

Pictures of the lift installed?? I'd like to see what it looks like with that much lift in the front and nothing in the back

 

2.5 in the front with nothing in the back will have the front sitting higher than the back, and you will notice it without measuring

If it did not come with the truck stock then yes it is illegal.
