EDIT! SEE PAGE 5. BROKE DOWN AGAIN

This all started 900 miles into a trip from WV to OK... 70mph with the cruise on the entire way. i filled up twice... then stopped for a third time. Ate dinner at cracker barrel. Then topped off with 9 gallons of BP 87 oct gas (filled it from half tank). then this happened 174 miles after the fill up... 893 miles into my trip... and the truck just rolled 10175 miles (on the odo in the video)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yerkhhUsAc&feature=share&list=UUw2YGU_tA8iA5i9DE3xSYyA

i noticed the RPM's were fluctuating after it kept canceling the cruise control by its self... only by a few hundered rpm's. then by 1000 rpm's and shaking like it was missing. it was then i decided to video it for documentation... and good thing i did. The truck died on me and all the idiot lights came on while going 70mph in the fast lane... in the rain.. at night.. 35 degrees outside.

this SHOULD NOT happen with a 2012 tacoma with 10175 miles on it. being nearly 900 (with 300 miles to go) does not make it better.

after this happened i fired it up and drove it to a hotel where im at now. cruise worked fine.. and no rpm fluctuation. seems normal. what should i do? i just filled up with 91 oct (12 gal's) and added a bottle of fuel treatment. mpg has been around 18 for the trip

Probably karma for hanging out in the left lane for no reason. Seriously that sucks though. Dealer man.

Check all electrical connections are secure under the hood and there are no pinched or burned wires. Stock air filter?

case of bad fuel?(I'm not a big fan of BP quality of fuel), loose fuel cap or improperly tighten fuel cap? I would pull the check engine light code and see what it says.

I couldn't tell which yellow light came on, but that seems super weird that the warning lights didn't stay on solid. They came on for about 3 seconds and off 3 seconds and it only appeared to be the SRS and CE light. Very odd. New vehicle warranty includes roadside assistance. With the documentation, you can call a number (should be in your manual or somewhere similar) and Toyota will pay to have you towed to the nearest dealership. They will not only cover the tow cost, but also reimburse your travel expenses, pay for your hotel, rental car, and even give you a food allowance if I recall correctly. I would not drive any further like that. Seems pretty sketchy to me. If you continue to drive and to further damage and the dealer can show you made it worse they can possibly deny your claim and may not be liable for any repairs beyond that of the original issue. I'd recommend calling them asap

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Wow I don't even know what to say to this, hope you get it fixed. This is unusual for such a new truck though, I took mine on a 3,000 mile road trip last spring and it didn't even hiccup. Hope you didn't get a lemon.

My previous post and pictures may not fully apply to you. The first picture is from the Toyota warranty supplement manual. The second picture is from my Toyota ExtraCare Platinum warranty. So double check your coverage before getting your hopes up

I don't know, it just seems like dealers will do anything to get out of doing stuff for "free". That's just my experience though.

That would be reimbursed by Toyota I presume and not an individual dealer
