The insurance for the hail is too short for it. If it had been closer to 5k I would have been able to pay it off.

When I had mine done the wife didn't sleep well for a couple weeks. I would rub my eyes in my sleep and she would wake me when I rubbed my eyes. Anytime I moved she would wake and check on me.

    I'm new, Duh....
I have a 01 Prerunner 2WD and have been doing a lot of research on what I want to do to the truck. I've had the dang truck for 7 years, bout time to fixer up.
Went to a 265X75R16 and lookin to put an OME 3" with new leaf packs in the back.
People I work with tell me I'm crazy for wanting to lift a 2WD and put new bumpers on but it's what I got!!
Don't know if I could even hang with y'all at any of the meets cause I only have one tire spinnin, but maybe there's someone else out there doin the same thing.
Other than new tires I have done the deck plate mod and plastidipped the rims and bumpers and waiting on income tax to Grizzly Grip the WHOLE TRUCK.
I live between Galveston and Houston so if there is a meet and I'm off I'll try to make it if y'all think I can keep up!!!!

Lifting a 2wd truck lifting it, putting trail armor all the way around, etc etc? Nope. Doesn't sound familiar at all. Who does stuff like that....

Nothing wrong with a one-wheel-peel but I would get a good locker in there pretty quick. Don't worry about your buddies' opinions; how smart can they be? They joined the Coast Gaurd. Lol

Thanks guys for rhe Welcome, I'll post some pics along the way.
As far as the locker goes not sure what to go with or where to get it. That's the one thing I do have a problem trying to find info on is what rype and where to get it from. It's on my list just more towards the bottom.

I would greatly reconsider moving the locker up the list to the top. I know Adam started out with an open diff and went to a locker to end that non-sense. The drop in lockers are ok; but none seem to do right as a daily driver. I would go straight to an ARB and be done with it. It will be your most expensive purchase but will make the biggest difference in off road abilities.

Get the locker, some decent tires, and then body armor and you will be in decent shape for the majority of normal stuff you can find. Once you start trying to climb the stuff that really challenges your body armor you will need a 4x4. That conversion is well documented for a 1st gen truck.
