kind of a weird question here but do any of you guys know if the bed off of an 01 Ranger would work with a 1st gen taco? I ask this because I found a full bed with fiberglass bedsides for sale but its off a ranger...

Edit: they seem to be around the same size? :notsure:

Replaced oem shocks w/ 5100s all around. Set to middle setting, which gave front end a nice 2" lift and truck is now 37 rear 36.5 front. Also, replaced worn front brake pads w/ chepo duralast organic for $22 from Autozone.

Now just need an alignment. Then more projects...

Thanks TacoWorld! Made this whole thing much more fun and got good parts.

Dunno how I effed up the speedo gear. Pulled it today to check the tooth count, put it back in, and after about a mile my speedometer began erratically falling until it didn't register anymore. :(

Had a leaky RH Valve cover, looked closer and found a hairline crack near the bolt hole at the outer, closest to the firewall location.

Ordered a Dorman replacement, came with all the gaskets for $130 from rockauto.com and got the job done. Now i have a more audible 'tapping' coming from that side but at least it's not leaking, and power is back/idle is smoother. I'm assuming it's just poor tolerance on a Chinese part. *I also found that the mechanic that did my 90k belt service used NGK single electrode plugs and not Denso dual's like i very specifically told him to buy (he's my brother in-law...) replaced the plugs properly, replaced the LH valve cover gasket while i was in there, and the two plenum gaskets. Annnd cleaned the MAF too.

And no, that's not rust, just Iron Range dirt.

The plastidip is nice but temporary. I haven't had a problem with it yet but eventually I'll have to do some touch up. I've had it on for about 4 months. Once paint is on just less of a hassle in my opinion. I also plastidiped my fender flares and chrome on my bumpers.

Did a little driving in the snow and flexed it out.

I really wanted to get my back tire off the ground so I'd know what my max is. But my driver side tire was rubbing the fender flare bad, and I didn't want to break it so I stopped... I need to move my axle forward about an inch.

Eh, they're okay. It was very windy so I didn't take as good of pics as I did last time it snowed. Although these two came out very nice...
