    Yep. I hate rust. It is a zinc coating. They have a huge tube of zinc at over 800 degrees and they dip the stuff in. I also got my ladder rack done. Now I will be good for rust for 50 years.

    You can power coat it or paint it. But for now I am not going to.

    It is basically like painting the steel with metal. So yes it will scratch. But after a scratch unlike paint it will not bubble up and starting rusting like it does with paint.

    I had my ladder rack done at the same time and do not plan on painting it either.

    I just really hate rust and hold function above form.
