I've got a chocolate lab, and a 1 year old daughter, so the lab rides in the back. We have added a leer canopy with front slider so she can still stick her snoot into the cab for a visit, and got the side sliding windows with pet screens. Combined with the toyota bed mat, and her dog bed, its pretty good back there.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
My girl rides in the way back most cases, she prefers that way so she can get the wind in her face and bark at other dogs and pretend to be queen bitch haha. On really cold or wet days, she will ride in the cab with me.

Where did you get those goggles? I got to have some for my girl lol that would just look so kickass on her. She's a black lab as well.

Does anyone have a pet hammock in their Taco that doesnt have enough slack to reach the floor? I think they serve two purposes: to keep hair/drool off the seats and to keep your pet from flying into the floorboard. I've noticed most of the pet hammock pics in this thread show enough slack to reach the floor. Of course every product listing shows the product perfectly smoothed out.

This is mine and I like it. It has some slack but doesn't go to the ground.

If he's dry he's more than welcome to ride in the cab with us. Double Cab both back seats folded down and his blanket over them.

If he's Wet/muddy/stinky he gets to ride in a crate in the bed. He's usually good in the bed for about an hour before he starts to claw at it, but by that time he's dry enough to come back inside.

Mine rides in the back seat with the Duluth Trading Seat Protectors in. I have changed out the straps so that it has less slack. If he had it his way he would be in my lap but 50lbs of Catahoula in my lap while driving is not a great thing.

    http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/...k-car-gear/vehicle-seat-protection/96000.aspx
this is the one we use.

I like it beacuse I can toss anything in the back seat and go, chainsaws coloers dripping wet tents and a mud covered pup who found something to smelly to roll in

Jaxson use to ride in the floorboard in the back with the passenger seat pushed forward (his choice but I'm sure my driving had something to do with it )... he has since found it comforting to lay down on the back seat...whatever works :D

softopper over bedrug bed mat when kids are in back seat. when kids arent fold down the 60% rear seat and put him on that with a pad and a no slip rug liner cut to fit. i can roll it up and put it in the cubby back there (got tiny bungees) so its ready to go as soon as seat flips down. he loves both
