I recently bought a brand new 2013 Tacoma and really wasn't sure if i wanted to buy a grille guard or a bull guard. I understand that grille guards do more damage to my own car, and that bull guards dont really do much, but i like the aesthetics! Need some help making the decision!

sometimes they cause more, sometimes less damage. just depends on the situation.
i like mine. a lot of people i know have them. we run them on our trucks at work.
if you get a grilleguard, get a heavier duty one, not the cheaper light weight ones.

I love the look of the bull bar.... It prolly won't protect anything, but I figure if I wreck head on, it prolly won't matter regardless of what I put on there..

To each their own, but my vote goes to the Bull bar..

Those Avid light bars do look nice though..

Billy's set at 2.5", Avid Offroad light bar, N Fab steps. Weathertechs. Rear view mirror relocation bracket. Rear sliding window bar. 265 70 18. Upgraded sound system.
Have Avid and love it. A SUV got into an accident in front of me and was pushed into the end of the light bar. My only damage on the light bar was about six inches of paint being rubbed off. My bumper cover and paint came in at $1,200. The light bar absorbed the light hit and didn't bend. All I had to do was hit it with some spray paint and it looked great again.

Does the full brush guard truly offer more protection? It looks like it is attached in the same way the bull bar is, one would think it would collapse into the grill and hood in a collision.

I also read “comments” on varies websites about the bull bar that is was flimsy and useless for anything other than mounting lights.

X2, I was going to say the same thing but you beat me. I didn't vote cause their both crap. These two choices will offer no or very little potection and will damage the truck more in a collision.

Thanks

Brett
