Matte bronze wheels would look good if you didn't want to do black. They're almost brown in the shade.

Yes, I had to go change registered color with DMV. I wrapped it 2 weeks after buying, so hopefully it will last 5-6 years before I peel it off. As for the HID's in halogen housings I wouldn't put in projector halo German wanna be lights if my life depended on it. I think a Toy Tec lift 2 in rear 3 in front looks like it the winner. Anybody know of a better quality lift (if there is one) at that height?

I was at a Volkswagen show a few years back and I saw a Beatle done in an olive drab paint with AT tires, could of been BFG's. I fell in love with it. The bug had a Baha fender kit with custom tube bumpers. I wish I had a good camera that day. My 1999 has the typical clear coat fade on the hood and roof and sure as shit, when I decide to get it painted this is what I am going to do.

Lift it.. easy! 3-4" and that beast becomes a monster. I agree with others.. a bhlm and a lift.. plate bumpers etc and that thing will be AWESOME.
