sounds good, you may want to try some welding shops around town too, just to see if they would charge less than what the gas to get down here will cost. I of course would do it for free.

you might be able to do the stacking dimes method (tack - move - tack) with the flux core. Won't be pretty though haha.

Will do. If I don't find anyone with a decent price I'll take a road trip to Socorro! :D
I hope it doesn't cost much, its only about a 1" pipe.

    If a magnet won't stick I can't weld it.

Ok, so the muffler itself is stainless BUT the pipe and the cap on the muffler that needs welding isn't stainless.
Sorry if I dont make sense

I get it. I would have Steve TIG it. It would be a cleaner weld then I could with my Flux Core.

    Soon...
I've got MIG/flux core and oxyacetylene. I'd try either but Steven would be a hell of a lot closer. Wish I had a TIG.

Off subject. I saw a machine that could do MIG/flux, TIG, aluminum, and Stick for about 3 grand. If I didn't SAS I would've got it for shits and giggles.

If I get charged anywhere near this I'll just buy a new pipe. The only thing is I need it by Friday or I'll miss out on a day of riding :/
Edit: and today is my only day to find somewhere to get it fixed

Is there anyone in town that can weld my exhaust by Friday? I'm busy all day tomorrow and Thursday so I can't go to Socorro and have steve do it. I really need it done :(
