So last summer I was weighing 155 lbs. and could barely squat 135 about 8 times

At this point I'm at 167 lbs and today I managed to squat 175 lbs for 10 reps :) did 5 sets. but on the 3rd set I only managed 8, rested a few seconds and pumped out the last two. Same for the last 2 sets.

took a long unforgiving Christmas break that kind of set me back. Started incorporating more leg work outs on leg day.

Most of the weight gain has been on my legs. My shorts and pants fit a little tighter in the thighs. :D

Even a relative who I only see once every few months told me my legs look thicker. :D That compliment made my day. hahahha

I've been increasing the weight very slowly on the squats, once a month I go up 10 lbs and use the entire month to get used to it, then I up it.

Hoping to be squatting 200 by mid summer. But I probably won't have access to a squat rack as I use the one in school and I'll be taking this summer off. : /

I'd be happy enough at 200 lbs. at 10 reps.

    How's everyone progressing so far?

I'd say about 1 in every 50 ladies in the gyms around here comes remotely close to this. Maybe 1 in every 80-100.

Marion, Alabama must be the place to visit then. At least for workouts? :spy:

Girls at my gym are either highschool or college chicks, the really hot ones have the overly manly dad workout with them to keep dudes away, the fake tit attention whores are dimes a dozen, once a while you get a IFBB bikini model status, but most of them are above a 5 at least, but no fat bitches at my gym, I imagine too many in shape people that they feel weird there.

Started 10th grade high school and now im freshman in college. I've been doing 5x5s for probably 3 months and switched to 3x5 for about a month. Was already plateauing on 5x5s before I stopped it. Also had some body building/ isolation exercises mixed in the 5x5:rolleyes:

My post was meant to be in humour, not reality. I have seen some mighty good looking women in gyms before.

This may or may not help.

When I plateaued on my squats I changed up the workout by backing off the weights and doing high reps like x20. Then went back to heavier squats and really slowed the tempo. My weights went up, albeit not by much.

    oil change...
I started the 5x5 workout about a month ago. You up the weight by 5lbs every time.

Im 146 lbs and looking back at my tracker this is what my squat progress looks like

    March 4th: 155lbs
    march 5: 155lbs
    7th: 160lbs
    12th: 175lbs
    13th: 210
    15th: 205
    18th: 245
    21st: 255
    25th: 260 - but I only did 2 sets on this one

This is also on a smith machine, idk if that changes anything but its all the gym that I use has. No free barbells :(
