BFG ATs work great in sand! My favorite tire by far.

What about Duratracs? I'm looking into those for my next tire...looks like more of a middle ground for AT's and MT's

Thanks dtf, a trusted opinion haha, volcom, I had duratracs before on my 4wd Durango and by far the best snow tire I've ever used it also was amazing in the mud they just really wear fast and give a very boat like steering. It's a good tire tho, pretty pricey too

Haha maybe I'll put a diff tire on each corner, I'll have traction on any surface!!

Haha sorry man, that was just my experience with duratracs, if I lived in a snow environment they would be my winter tires for sure. I've heard great reviews of the AT's but my concern is sand and desert traction

Well they may do well for you then, also consider federal couragias for mud, I have them on now and they sling mud like you wouldn't believe

Hey guys! Quick question coming from CO. I've got a 2012 TRD offroad that I put an all pro long travel kit on the front and a defined engineering sua on the back. I've been having one small annoyance with the truck which ONLY happens on the first start up of the day. When I first start the truck and start turning my wheel to get out of my parking spot there is a tiny bit of play in the steering. Like I said this only happens the very first time the truck is turned for the day. After that steering feels fine. The play in the steering gets a clunk if I turn the wheel quickly. The play is very minimal but I can definitely feel it. It just feels like something may be loose. I checked all the bolts and torques and they seem fine. Any pointers? Thanks a lot

Check the inner tie rods? Any leaks in the rack?

no leaks, ever. Not a single drop haha. Truck only has 20,000 so this is puzzling for sure. Like I said it only happens after the truck has been sitting for a night or a couple of hours. And when it does happen, it only happens once when I first start turning the wheel. It almost feels like the steering is disconnected for a second. It doesn't happen at all when driving.

Yeah... I was thinking they will just blame it on the all pro kit and not do anything.

Have you checked the 2 bottom spindle bolts on each side. Mine kept coming loose and it made the steering feel loose.
