usually just let the rain do it, or when i get the oil changed at the dealer they wash it, surprisingly well.

other then that i dont really wash it, if i find some mud or something ill take a hose to it when i get home but thats about it

I actually enjoy washing my truck. I wash it once a week in the summer whether it needs it or not. Winter time I try to clean it every 2-3 but it usually only gets it once a month. I love having my truck clean when I go out to a club on the weekends to show off lol

    So true:(

Winter is too cold to wash my truck, around this time of year it rains often so it gets dirty a few days after being washed, and in the spring/summer time my truck turns yellow a day after being washed.
Seriously though, once every few weeks starting when it gets warmer out (and a forecast that doesn't predict rain two days later)

I get it detailed and waxed once a year. But I only put 4500 miles a year on it. Its garaged most of the time.

I can't wait for it to stop freezing here so I can leave the pressure washer set up and spray it down every day.

Which makes me feel like a sissy since I used to wash my Cavalier once a year but I can't help myself, I'm besotted w/ my truck :)

I live on a dirt road so I only wash it when I am showing it off. That has been a total of one time so far.

Every 2-3 days. But sometimes I rinse on a daily basis. The site I'm working on now uses pulverized limestone. I hate it! Just like pollen (which we get in the spring), it's a fine, sticky white powder. I've got a SWB, so the white film p!sses me off.

I've been soaping with a hand-pump sprayer and then rinsing with a pressure washer we recently picked up from Costco. It works pretty well but I get little film trails under the door handles. I sprayed the hell out of it today but I can still see little trails. *shakes fist*

Anybody else have that problem? Or am I the only remedial washer :)

Once a week and a quick spray at least after a run to the mountains. I love the MGM when its clean however it does not hide dirt like I thought it would.

There are two types of Tacoma people.

The first type washes their Tacoma once a week and methodically cleans, polishes, and details the exterior.

The second type washes their Tacoma once a year by opening the doors and hosing out the dirt, rocks, and debris from the interior.

I try to keep my Tacoma as clean as possible, but with all the snow we've had this winter, its been tough. Can't wait for the nicer weather.

I hose out the undercarriage after playing in the mud. I hose out the bed if it gets filthy. I don't ever wash the exterior body panels. Not. Ever.

That said, I'm pretty diligent about keeping the interior clean, and have been known to use everything from a steam cleaner to Q-tips in pursuit of that.

And the windows, I can't stand dirty windows.

The way I figure it, that coat of grime and dust is protecting my truck's paint...right?

I doubt that it could matter much but some serious hypermilers swear that their mpg drops whenever they clean. Mild golf ball dimple effect is the idea, and free.
