My belief that it was bad gas was right on :D that's why I don't buy BP gas or any of their branches ie; Arco, Thrifty, etc... I remember using arco when two decades ago when I was a youngin. It made my Accord sputtered so bad.

Not a bad idea to save fueling receipts, in case you need to go after someone.

A friend of mine filled up from a gas station that just re did it's underground tanks. Some type of adhesive wasn't done setting when they filled the tanks back up and all the cars that filled up at the station stopped running shortly after. The only way they would pay the bill to fix his car is if he had a receipt. He did, and had to get reimbursed after he had to get all the injectors and valves cleaned... I save receipts.

i did save all reciepts from fuel stops on the way... but since it was covered under warrenty and no damage was done im not too worried about it.

and to answer 650H1's question no.. i normally use whatever is cheapest.. 87 typically. i give it good gas about 1 tank every 6 months.

Good to hear that it turned out well for you.

I started saving receipts with my diesel trucks and have continued with the gasser. I hope I never need to use it!

so i thought this problem was behind me... until today i was leaving the mall (after getting a new iphone because i exploded my screen last night) and my truck died again... this time did not restart. called toyota road side assistance and got it flat bedded to the same dealer i took it to for the problem last time. also documented this one with a video. not when it happened but afterwards when it still wouldnt run.

toyota had better give me a rental car. no other means of transportation here.. still 1200 miles from my home.

Still have the same gas in it from before? They should have drained the tank if they thought it was bad gas...

Damn man I hate that you are having such bad problems!! VERY uncommon, I just hope the Toyota dealer goes above and beyond to make this right! If they don't post that video on the Toyota Facebook page, that will get there attention!

Hopefully it is something quick, easy, and cheap to fix. Intermittent issues are the hardest to diagnose.

If it does it 1 more time, they have a lemon law to deal with.
All you jerks that did nothing but bitch about his lane choice and nothing about a solution. DON'T POST, keep your horse shit in your head.

hope everything works out OP. sub'd for results.

what brings you out here to OKC? which dealer did you take it to? Hudiburg off of I-40 is pretty good and I've had no issues with warranty work out of them.

Im in OKC for a month for some job training... really like the area and theres always something cool to do. The truck is going to Jim Norton/Momentum off NE expressway (3). it's the closest to me since im staying over by yukon/mustang.

Tunnel- it would be hard to find the intermittent problem the first time... but this time when it died it did not restart so it's currently dead. hopefully that will help them figure it out.

If this continues to happen and they cant figure it out.. for a 3rd or 4th time.. i'll probably end up processing the lemon law. Disappointing i really like this truck. If they buy it back i'll be buying a ford raptor.
