Can someone tell me if there are major difference between these camper caps? One dealer told me the only difference was the back glass and another told me the 100XR had a different back glass and "smoother" lines. It's hard to tell from www.leer.com

    Thanks

Not 100% sure but I think it may just be the back glass. I have the 100xr and love the frameless rear window. Makes it look A LOT better. I was about to buy a snugtop new before I found it on CL. I honestly like the way the XR looks and it's functionality better than any other shell I've seen.

XR has an all glass rear door and a single centre handle

RCC is where it's at :)

I got the XR. I liked the looks of the smooth side windows on the XL, but wanted the slider side windows and pet screens for the dogs. The single handle glass window on the XR can also be tied into the automatic locks of the truck, so it's locked when the truck is locked. This feature was worth the cost imho.

Sounds like the only difference is the back glass. Not sure I want to pay an extra $300 for the XR for that. But then again if they can tie the lock into my auto door locks that would be nice. I could put an actuator on the tailgate to and make everything keyless...umm

    Leer 100 models:

R - Center split sliding side windows
L - 3/4 split crank open side windows
Q - 1 piece crank open side windows

The X model only changes the rear glass from a 2 handle w/frame to a frameless 1 handle in the middle.

I personally have the 100 XL with a power lock option. I am very happy with it.
