Couldn't agree more. As far at the color of the LED bars I'm not a fan, for dry clear nights they are excellent but what about fog, rain and snow? How can you produce an optic reflector at such a small size? LED's just throw light straight out they are not good at flooding light like a halogen can they also have glare.

I'll stick with halogen and retrofitted Hella's till the prices drop just like HID's did they were very expensive and now they are cheap

But seriously, one of my nicknames I have had since my first year playing darts back in 2001.

Originally it's because I'm a huge Kid Rock fan..bought the American Bad Ass hat at his show in 2000 and wore it to darts every week. We played a team who didn't know us and one guy was trying to figure out who he was playing in the singles games. His teammate had played me in a cricket game already, so he pointed to me and said "you're playing the American Bad Ass". Drunk to the point of barely being able to stand I crushed the guy and my team all started calling me American Bad Ass. Still get that all the time in darts..although a handful also call me Geico.

Does someone need the TW butthurt form?

Hope not..I saw enough adults complaining like little pussies last night at darts, and almost got slapped by a 60 year old woman.

Makes a lot of sense..as with anything automotive or otherwise, the early adopters will spend the most.

The power draw is more of a selling point for a house versus a vehicle, although if you just gotta have a ton of lighting it is better to pull less power..especially if you're like me and already have a stereo system bleeding the juice from it.

Mike, if you go Lightforce I'll give you some cash for the PIAA's :)

The draw can become an issue on expedition rigs where the truck will likely be running an oversized alternator, dual batteries and have high loads such as a winch, lots of lights, a refrigerator and other various camping equipment.

I wouldn't wait around for me to make any changes to my lighting setup. I've got an expensive year ahead of me so my truck will be looking exactly the same as it does right now for a good while.

Just tell the wife that you need some lightforce lights for the babys stroller and she can ask people to buy them for the baby shower.

Very true, although the person more likely to see a gain in $$ saved is the home user.

Haha why not go out with a bang on that one though.."oh gee honey, I'm not sure how Lightforce got on the registry..honest!"

She already knows what Lightforce is so that won't fly... I've been talking about getting a set for a while.

I need to get my headlights fixed first. I completely lost my high beams. I've got them unhooked. I don't know what the hell happened to TRS during the groub buy that I got in on but it seems they've had more issues with that shipment than all the other group buys combined

Yeah, that too... but after the initial stuff, there will be a short time that I can start modding again before they start to get expensive again. Then it just doesn't stop til they're out of college

The danger in letting them know too much..haha. Happens to me all the time unfortunately.

Ugh that's a pain in the skull..ballasts kicked out maybe?

I was between the Lightforce lights and retrofits. I went retros.

It's not the ballasts, it's the solenoid that actuates the flap inside the projector. What's kind of sad is that was the #1 concern I had with going to projectors, I was concerned with a part going bad inside the headlight. So I waited a few years, saw the great track record the projectors were having, and finally pulled the trigger. Since then, I was told by TRS that I'm the ONLY person they've ever seen have a frozen solenoid (that's my driver's side and that's waiting to be replaced, but now my passenger side froze up also. It sticks in the high beam position until you knock on the headlight or hit a bump. I got it to go back to low beam and just unhooked it until I can fix it.
