    Here's where we were:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=33.660434,-117.584698&spn=0.11,0.18&q=33.660434,-117.584698(Trabuco+Creek+Road)

Cross streets are Trabuco Canyon Rd & Trabuco Creek Road......We were on Trabuco Creek Road...

Wheels haven't been off the truck for a while.... last time we took them off the truck was when we painted the wheels...that was over a month ago...
There weren't exactly torqued to factory specs..

One of the guys that stopped and helped said the my lug nuts weren't OEM nuts..... Maybe that could have something to do with it? I don't know....

I'm mainly just happy to be home right now...

I haven't even gone outside to check out the damage in the daylight... :(

We weren't really doing anything aggressive....We were actually already on our way out....

Glad you are alright bud, but be sure to torque them puppies to spec for now on! I have seen this happen to a handful of people in the last few years and it is either due to one of two things. The wheel lugs will snap due to being stretched under extreme torque OR the lug nuts will back off because of a lack of torque being applied.

Go pick yourself up a cheap torque wrench at wal-mart if you have to. You can get a 1/2 inch torque wrench there that will work fine for the wheels and only costs about 35 bucks.

What is the torque spec just wondering? I've always been a 'good-n-tite' guy and never had any issues whatosever. When Les Schwab put my wheels on they went to 65 ft/lbs and a retorque 300 miles later. The place I went to here the other day torqued the 85.

Damn dude. Glad you're safe. But got me wondering. Why did this happen? I mean you had a reason no to go anywhere for a while, THEN girls crash a car around you. I think this was a sign from the BigMan for you to take pictures of cute/pretty girls so that we may see. You know just a thought? :notsure: :)
