looks like can drill in and try an easy-out. do you have a high-speed drill and metal bits?

could also try the vice-grip method, but the metal might be too soft and break off before breaking the torque.

i'd try a carbide burr ball to smooth it out, center punch the center and drill in and use an easy-out. I could give you a hand after work tomorrow(maybe 4-430ish)

Wouldn't mind seeing the tube bender :)

^ Sound's like the best solution if the vise grips fail.

I would tap it on the end with a hammer while you try and turn the vise grips, works wonders. If that doesn't work, heat it with a torch just a little and try again.

And it should go without saying, but you know what they say about assuming... Make sure the tank is empty

I'm sure outsourcing the fab would cost just as much as buying/shipping from the mainland though

Yup, and you know the reputation of the product you're buying on the Internet, more visibility of product reviews.

be sure to use some type of break-free to try to kill the lock-tight cause an EZ-out will tear soft metals up easily.

or drill it out close enough to split the fitting and re-tap the hole

unless hes really comfortable with drilling metal parts out like weve been trained, i would not sugest him to drill and retap. lol
