    Grew up with this guy.
    Built hot rods and race cars. Then he bought a Harley Davidson and we worked on it. Life caught up with us and we would only talk every now and again but see each other every day we are neighbors also.

    Last night he was driving home on his buddys Bike and ran over a peeled tire in the road lost control of the bike slide and broke his neck, was air meded to the hospital and pronounced dead. I have lost friends before but this guy was one of the best the kinda guy that would go the extra mile to help you.
    Just wanted to let that out.
    Thanks for your concern, I know there will be plenty as this site is full of the kind of friends anyone would be lucky to have.

    His name was Timmy Sams (Tim). The worst part is the bike is competley driveable. Only scratches. Some 10 yrs ago a drunk driver hit him head on, they had to pry his Delta 88 off of him. He walked away. He was a tuff son-of-a. We once changed a flat tire on the side of the road on his 80 monte carlo Drag car with no jack. He lifted the car and held it up long enough for me to put the spare on.

    That's absolutely right. His step dad said if the cops were better he could have lived but been paralyzed. I told him how we would prefer it. If I had to be paralyzed from the neck down like he would have been I would rather be dead.
