Little platic black knobs sticking out from the bulb that the connector from the ballast locks in place with.

So with that kit there is no cutting of the housing? Its all held in place by a lock ring?

sorry man, I'm not familiar with the D2s kit :rain: that sounds like it could be the problem if not adding to it though. The prism mechanics of these projectors mean the bulbs have to sit in a certain place for it to work as intended

yep, mini kits like the h1 and the d2s require no cutting

Sweet!!!!! Why the crap am I just now figuring this out:annoyed: I have been wanting to do the retro for a long time but was just terrified of cutting the housing. So ill ask again even with the larger projector the d2s mini kit will fit just like the h1's correct?

That's the wiring harness for the HIDs. Each bulb and hi/low switch will plug into it. The plug with three prongs plugs into where the OEM bulb was plugged into. Then the passenger side plug just dangles there with nothing plugged into it.
