alright, so i went to install my new pioneer HU, and it was working fine, music coming through perfectly clear. then while I was pushing everything in(I was being fairly careful, and not just jamming), it died. so i stopped and checked, well the HU is blank all the time, and nothing will happen. I thought it was a blown fuse, but both the 10 and the 30 in the engine bay are fine. so I plugged in the stock HU, and it'll make the CD changer noises, but it also will stay blank and also, no music from it. I've checked the pioneer's connections, but the fact that the stock HU won't work either leaves me clueless. HELP!!!

Also, I'm using a PAC TATO Wiring harness, as well as the Axxess AWSC

Check the B+ (Yellow on the Pioneer harness) and ACC (Red) and make sure you are getting 12-14.5 volts with the ignition on.

Then we can go from there.

Not sure which ones the 10 and 30 are, but maybe your dash lights popped and that's what the HU is using for the display..

but it's not just display that's not working. No music, or anything is coming from speakers either, and I was referring to the fuses, I think there is a 10A and a 30A

Alright, so I got frustrated, gave up and took it to a shop. I've never done car audio since it has never worked out for me (getting better though) so I didn't feel bad about having a professional double check everything. 2 of my connectors were not taped off all the way, touch and popped the 1A fuse behind the radio (part of the PAC TOTA kit) they replaced it and wired up my awsc while they were at it. I spent 2 hours this morning trying to do those 2 things, and they got it done in about 20-30 minutes.

Thanks guys for trying to help! I'm just hopeless :p

Glad you got it running man!

I knew that 10 and 30 was the amps..I just wasn't sure what they ran per se, my bad I wasn't more clear.

Doing it and learning from stuff like this is how I learned to do it 20 years ago, keep it up..sounds like you had the right idea on it
