That's why I want a smaller sports car, like an S2000. They're a ton of fun but you don't have to be going overly fast to have a lot of fun with them.

I know what you're saying about them though, my motorcycle gets me in trouble a lot (to the point I will probably sell it soon). It's not fun until you're really pressing it and you're not really pressing it until you're over 100 MPH

The Datsun was a 1981..POS, was blue and had a gray hood but only 70K on a straight 6. Had that in 1991..loved the T tops for summertime. Unfortunately I found the floorboard rotted..and the frame as well. I still had fun that summer with it.

My 1984 Camaro was the one that got me in hot water. 305 and it was a cop car before I got it..DEA undercover. I had it up to 135 before..made my friend nearly wet his pants.

If I can ever manage it I'd like to get an old musclecar..Chevelle or Cutlass would be the ideal. Failing that maybe an old Malibu that doesn't necessarily look like a hot rod but goes like it.

I miss having t-tops. Had them on my WS6 and my Fiero. The Fiero wasn't fast, but it cornered very well.

My cousin had a Fire-o..haha. He loved it, first new car he ever had.

My ideal is a 72 Cutlass convertible..holdover would be maybe a mid-80's with T tops.

Meantime I guess I could settle for a nice set of lights for the metal lightbar I'm getting haha

I used to hear that joke all the time. Car was 20 years old and still didn't burst into flames though.

I still remember one owner who had a ton of problems with his. He parked in front of the dealership and grilled hot dogs and burgers next to it or on it (I forget).

I'd trade it for a dual sport. I'm not completely getting away from motorcycles. I'm done commuting with it though. Perspective kind of changed this year...

I sold my bikes about a month after my first child came. You are right on track about perspective changes. Boy do i miss it sometimes. My last two bikes were 2003 Custom metallic orange Sportster 883 w/ 1200 kit i did myself set up like a drag bike and the other was an all origanal 1982 Honda CB900Fss (only 4300 miles)

Yeah life has a way of doing that..not the same kick I got when I was 28 but similar in that it caused some changes that for me were long overdue.

I am not even concerned with that yet, at least not for a very long time may not even want at least she doesn't. More money for toys for me i guess. Dual Sport and my truck that I plan on keeping till it dies.

In that regard it's not even an option for me..the age thing. It is probably for the best because I refuse to be a grownup anyways :)

Was the rot the reason you pulled it with the rear axle on it or was it just easier that way anyway..guessing at least the latter.

Jason, that is a nice ride..what happened to it?
