im not hinkin of using that factory one. as looking from the back of the truck: im thinkin of mounting one on the right wheel well, one to the left of the wheel well. one in the corner of the bed and one about a foot to the left of the corner.

    yes..haha

on trails you will see movement most likely...you'd need to have it held against the bed somehow

be nice if you could have a threaded rod go through the main opening in the tire...have a strip of metal or a bar with a hole in the middle, then using a nut tighten the bar down pulling the tire in toward the bedside...similar to how the factory tires are held underneath, but pulling it to the side instead...but then you'd have issues with it moving up and down..

i've seen with 2nd gens using threaded rod in the bed rails that goes through two of the stud holes then fastens down with some washers and nuts..

wonder if you have one eye bolt on each side...4 total...then crossing straps?

wonder if that would keep the wobble to a minimum...

    see.....now we're brain storming:D.

i figured the fact they had the smaller straps unite with the main strap would be the same as 2 straps crossing each other..
