Tires overhanging the ramps are not a problem. The will not fall off the ramps if they are positioned correctly and, if they will fall off, the answer isn't winching it up. If the tires will fall off the ramps driving, they'll fall off the ramps winching. Make a set of ramps out of 2x12's if you want wider ramps, put the grip tape on them and take your time driving up.

Better idea: Build a jump and just land it right in the bed. The front of the bed will be strong enough to take the impact and stop you.:burnrubber:

Then just buy a 2 by 10 or 2 by 12 board dude..this is easy. That and don't be a meatball pushing it up on there, center it.

Thanks. I have ramps that are a one peice. There wide as fuck lol so winching up from there isn't the problem. There just short and super steep so riding it up there always gets stuck. I don't wanna buy more woods and ramps so I'm just gonna see if thee factory metal tie downs hold the weight of the quad lol. Press the button walk away and see it if holds lol

Seems like you're making it a lot harder than it has to be. You could be at Home Depot by now, in the process of checking out with the materials you need

Haha yeah I'm a push when riding it up there. And most of the time I'm by myself so pushing it or riding it up there and using the brake all at the same time sucks. That's why I put a winch on my quad lol.

Why spend more money lol. I already have a chain that will work. Just gonna hook it up, turn the winch on and see if it holds and push it on the bed lol.

I tend to get stuck on my quad cause you all know I love mudd:D. So a winch will help me get unstuck lol. Plus I only paid 20 bucks for it so works for me lol.

Yeah, I can see how riding an automatic ATV and using the single lever brake could be a pain in the ass... I load motorcycles by myself all the time, ATV's are much easier. You're going to put an unnecessary amount of stress on the truck's tie down points by trying to winch the ATV into the bed. I know, you want to play with the new winch, but do it on the trail :)

If you are set on trying to winch the ATV into the bed, mount a d-ring through the bed and into the frame rail, don't use the rings on the side of the bed.

We're really not trying to flame you here, just trying to save you from mangling your bed. What happens if the cleats just pull out while winching? Then you have a few metal projectiles, and a 500lb uncontrolled quad. Not saying it won't work, and maybe you'll get away with it a few times. But it'll mangle your bed. It's just not made for that type of load.

Seriously, why not just build a new set of ramps that works and do it the right the way? Like I said, you could be halfway done buying/building them by now.

Yeah your right. I should just mount a d ring into the bed. I really don't trust the factory tie downs at all but was gonna try anyways lol.

You try putting this fucking huge heavy quad in the bed. In my 2010 Tacoma it was so much of a pain in the ass I broke all the factory cleats lol. They just snapped off lol. I'm hoping these metal ones are alittle stronger . Only time will time. Thanks for the help

All the way done. My set took me 15 minutes to build..would have been 10 if I didn't have to use the chop saw to cut the board in half, but methinks a 16 foot long ramp is too much

Dude, you mean you used the rail cleats on your 2010? AYFKM, those are rated for 110 each for use as tiedowns.

You are correct. I should do it the right way. And my mind tells me I should just buy a pair but I know I'm gonna be an ass to myself and try the tie downs haha. I live and learn I guess. I haven't tried my ramps yet so in gonna do that. I forgot that this truck is lower then my 2010. It's not lifted so maybe ill be able to just walk it up while I push the gas. Maybe I should try that then fingering out this other stuff:D. Wow I'm dumb lol

All ballbusting aside, when I bought my tractor the lady had the metal ramps similar to yours. It took 4 of us and every ounce of strength to shove it onto my truck. My brother in law came to my house with 2 8 foot planks and we got it off there without any real effort..although he didn't have the transitions so we had to hold the deck as it went over the edge of the planks.

That's why I went the wooden route, can make them any length you need.
