friday my sinuses were drainin & that was it. by yesterday around night time, it was gettin worse. i was sneezin my ass off.

so i took tylenol severe allergy yesterday... nothin happened

then i took some claritin.... nothin

i woke up 3x in the middle of the night sneezin, tossin & turnin w/ severe sinus pain & congestion

so today its BAD!! ive never in my life had sinus/allergy issues this severe

i went to cvs earlier and got some afrin nose spray and tylenol multi-symptom cold that the pharmacist recommended.

im feelin HORRIBLE!!! i never get sick, but when i do its pretty bad

anyone got any suggestions on anything to do to help with the pain/congestion?? i dont have the $$ to go to the DR so id rather be hardheaded and try other things

if it is allergies, I use zyrtec or however you spell it, it works awesome. also if you pick up some locally made honey that will usually help too. i dont know how but when I still lived at home my mom told me about it and it worked wonders!

claratin has never worked for me, the tylenol stuff worked a little..

this year has been killing me too. try getting local hunny (within 50 miles of where u live). take a spoon full in the morning and evening. no lie it helps. it has something to do with the bees cross polinating and it gets in the hunny so it gives u a small doce of the bad stuff.(kinda like a vaccine) so u build up immunity.

hope this helps....it has helped me a lot

get some rock and rye and take 2 good shots before you go to bed, and be sure to wear long clothes so you'll sweat that crap out. for breathing, maybe try some rhinocort or afrin just so you can breathe and fall asleep easier. foodwise.........get something you like, and add as much hot sauce as you can stand. that'll really help.

    hope you get feeling better.

trust me....jack is good for drinking......rock and rye will make you sweat that crap out. its worked for me numerous times, when nothing else would. if it isnt better soon.......definitely see the dr................they'll give you some antibiotics that'll clear that stuff up. you may wanna try mucinex dm too......it'll help loosen the phlegm up.

Those nose sprays are the shiz but are highly addictive and not good in the long term. Google "netty pot". It's a more "natural" way of helping with sinus congestion basically utilizing salt water.

The honey is a good idea but a lot of people say to start that in anticipation of getting allergies. So although it will work eventually it's not going to be your overnight cure.

I'm a believer in Mucinex but make sure drink a mad amount of water while taking it. Otherwise it won't work properly.

Lots of hot hot steamy showers with deep deep breathing. No pics please. Emergen-C is the shiz too.

wished i could find my mucinex that i hid from myself from the recent move

that makes sense about the honey, but it sure tastes good :D

i got a hot towel cabby like i use for my clients, i been puttin wet hand towels and wash rags in it and gettin them really hot and puttin it on my sinus' and it helps temporarily

we got some stuff at work called "super silver" and its supposed to be used for some type of treatment.

im gonna take the crap i got at the house for 2nite and see how i feel when i wake up.

FWIW I really suffer from the same problem and have all my life..Dr. advised ( after antibiotic) that I take two (2) Benadryl capsules a night before bedtime. Have been taking clairatin of zertic(sp) Seems to help try the benadryl, think you might be glad you did..
