I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Yeah I love my shell my truck is not going to have the crazy truggy look that a lot of SFA builds have. It's a DD and I want it to look as it does before just with bigger tires and a solid axle in the front :D

I am thinking of building a rub rail to go between the bed and the shell to make sure i keep the rocks away from the shell. I just about took it out last year with a tree

My truck is my DD also, so I hear where your coming from. Worst case you can sleep in the bed. I'm not cutting my bed until my truck turns into a trail only. I still need to figure out a way to put a spray nozzle on my camper for my rear window wiper.

I might build a tube bed for wheelin trips and just pull the bed before the trip I can do it just about as fast as removing the shell with the shop crane. So that might be down the road down the ways.

shock relocation ? for ya jerry...

any reason why you angled your shocks toward the rear with your upper mounts?

    _DSC9498_d9298fdefd9c4b03358125e7a7a062a4d6d640a7.jpg

clearance issues with items on the axle? or was there a performance reason?

you lower mounts are much cleaner than 2nd gen relocations i've seen too

I dont remember why i pushed them back but they did okay at speed and flexed like crazy. I think it had to do with clearance more then anything.

I got the trans mount all installed today as well as the lower frame link mounts mocked up. They are pretty low I'm going to see if i can get them up any higher tomorrow. I'm going to have an issue with my upper link and the motor mount so i might be re doing that on the driver side.

On the agenda tomorrow get this axle under the truck for good!

Looks good. How do you think you'll be able to raise the low stuff? Will you notch the material?

I think i have enough room to lift the lowers 1.5 to 2" i'll just cut new brackets with the lift built into them i guess i'll see tomorrow.
the joints are sitting at 18.5 from the ground right now on the crossmember and the axle side will be about 18.00 so id like to get the frame side closer the 20". Other wise i'll have to lower the axle side mounts to get a good antisquat.

Could you get some Long Tube Headers and take out the Cats? Would give you an additional 1-2" then you already have

Oh isee. A little bit shorter of a link shouldn't effect much if you change everything accordingly.

    Stupid Cali :p

Yeah that crossmember is just clamped to the frame right now so i can move it but then i get into the front driveline so its a toss up. I also like the location of the crossmember it does gaurd the T case where its at right now.

I see. Not sure if its mentioned previously, but is your Crawler/TCase clocked up to clear the frame rails? Maybe gain some height that way if not.
