SBCC! Hell yeah DP gets crazy

They are 16" resi's w/ threaded bodies, I got them about 4 months ago, brand new never used... guy said he bought them for his linked ranger and was unsure of valving. They probably are pretty soft, but there isn't much weight at all in the rear of my truck. I'll pull the pistons in the morning if I have time and post pics!

Well, got a call from Sacramento, they will not be proceeding with me in the job process, so that's now a dead end. Which sucks, because it was pretty good money, but at the same time, I'd have had to leave the wife in SD, commute for a while up there, would have just been a nightmare for while before we figured shit out. So all in all, it worked out for the best! And it means I'm no longer super rushed to get everything done on the truck.

Question, I know you've said you plan on selling the truck to get a 4x4 in the not so distant future. Don't you think the BAMF kit is going to hurt your resale?

You should just trade while your still stockish. Dealerships won't put a truck on there lot with garage fab suspension, so that leaves you to private party sales and extreme lowballing.

The more stock the truck is the more money you will get, the dealers. Saw a guy trade in a 2011 tacoma 4x4 dcab trd supercharged with full fox suspension with only 15k miles on the odo and the dealer gave him 22k

Exactly, truck nerds like us are a small population.

Trade in and take a loss now, or you'll take a bigger loss down the road.

Well, the shit side to all of that is that I'm currently unemployed...and I still owe a bit on my truck...so theres no way I can get financing for a used/new 4x4 lol. So i'm pretty stuck with my prerunner for another year or two.

Yup. Honestly, I'm pretty fine with what I've got right now, I know how and when to use the locker and I know what I can and can't do. Its just that I really want a 4x4 to be able to do the things I know I can't do with a locked 2WD. Have to be even more careful when I'm muddin' as well :D

Put it this way, don't do mods that are not easily reversible back to stock if you know deep down in side your not gonna keep the truck long term. Do permanent mods if you plan to permantly keep your truck for a long time.

If you really want a 4x4 save up and get one when you are ready and mod that one away

Meh. The wife wants a house, so that's before a 4x4. If I'd have got that Sac job, I probably would have a 4x4 within the year...but now...ehhhhh....not sure...

When i'm in a predicament i ask myself, WWTWD? (what would tw do)
So in this case, what would you guys do?
I'm running 285/70/17 bfg km2's, front two have plenty of tread, but the rear two are pretty damn low (left side tread is almost down to the base in the middle), so i need to replace at least 2, but 17" km2s are basically impossible to find... so
I can get these for 200 (without mount and balance), two look good and two look decent
    http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/ptd/3699066734.html
    OR
    http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/pts/3685334246.html
these for 35 (or less) a tire, waiting on tread measurements from the guy.
I can mount and balance for free when i get back to SB, so i guess my question is as follows...
How bad would it be to run mt's up front and at's in the rear? For 60ish bucks I could replace the rear two and get a few thousand more miles until I can find a better set of 4, run the baldies as spares, or spend 200 and have matching tires and keep the good mt's as dual upright spares.
    Cant decide..

I am going to do it in a few weeks, I have a good friend that is a Navy seal and also teaches at Tactical Air operations (he is the guy who jumps into the stadiums at sporting events hanging the American flag)

I cant wait! I told him I wanted to eventually try that flying squirrel suit too! Well after a bit of experience, lol. I need to find more adrenaline charged things to do, gotta keep pushing the limits, however my wife isnt too thrilled, wonder why? lol.
