Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Pics for comparison? I know you don't have one yet, but maybe Google?

Right off hand I would say black. Do you have other chromed accessories or trim? I like chrome, but don't over do it with it, no need for chromed fake vents on the front fenders.:p

How about getting a light bar instead? If you are set on the bull bar then black.

I was thinking the bull bar with two hellas mounted to it. Nothing special, just add a little mean to the front.

I'm not sure how much off roading you do. The bull bar will take away some approach angle from the front. Just a thought.

chrome with the chrome grill surround looks great. I had a chrome bull bar back in the day. Chrome may match the rear bumper too depending on your truck.

Both look good, the black looks better in the pics, butI'm not a huge fan of the billet grilles. Since your truck is not already chromed out, having the chrome bar will not over do it, so I think it would look really nice. Personally I still lean towards the black on a silver truck. I think there should be some contrast, I'm not a huge fan of black on black, so I would get the chrome on mine to add contrast (again not to over do it).

It's not really anthing rough, mostly just the mud holes around the town and a few trails. don't think it would get any damage. The light bars look ok, but I am looking for more of an aggressive look.

Alright, black it is! Thanks for the help guys, I think it'll work best. I also am doing stepsides that are black at the beginning but chrome in the middle. It should balance out.

I personally like chrome on light colored trucks. If you go chrome with the step bars and exhaust and wheels go chrome everything. If you like the black look go all black. It's up to you really. I had all chrome on my 95 Tacoma and loved it and wouldn't have done it any other way.

I plan on doing Black rims and exhaust much later, so the black is definitely looking better
Plus, I can paint the side steps if necessary
