Yeah im pissed. The year he tore his pec the Broncos defense was terrible. He's a HUGE part of the defense and I can see a possibility of them struggling next year. They really, really need to try get a way to keep him

Totally worth it, especially in view of the fact that they've paid that same rate of pay to shitbums like Ochocraphead. Not like they couldn't agree on years or something either.

The NFL competition committee has proposed a rule to make it illegal for a runner to lead with the crown of his helmet when outside of the tackle box. The rule comes under the safety umbrella of trying to keep all players from initiating contact with the helmet -- a practice already outlawed for defenders.

NFL to vote on eliminating tackling altogether. When offensive player has the ball defense is to ask him nicely to please put his knee on the ground.

That's weak. I'd say 90% of the time, it is a DB coming in at warp 9 with a lot of energy (and head down) that causes the most probs. RBs are often trying to just protect themselves and the ball by putting thier heads down to churn through a line. Plus an RB is just trying to make progress and avoid other players, not make contact with the intent to stop.

    Retarded PR move.

More of a liability ass covering via a PR move.

The NFL is getting sued left and right by former players who claim the NFL knew about head injuries and didn't to enough to protect the players. Some also claim the NFL, and teams, covered up head injuries and data about them etc.

They are afraid the current players are going to retire and sue.

Was watching First Take earlier and Michael Smith said "It passed with a 31-1 vote. Yout put a bunch of rich old men in a room, and it passed 31-1. Rich old men don't agree on stuff like that unless it's just to protect their wallet."

Problem is in some states, you can't legally sign away your right to sue even for the contracts these guys have. Plus there's always attorneys who will dissect it all and tie it up in court anyhow.

Not saying I agree with these 2 points, just that it is what it is.

Jarvis Jones only ran a 4.82 today at UGA's pro day. That might drop his stock a little for the draft. Dude is an animal, though. Whoever gets him will get a franchise LB to build a defense around.

Alec Ogletree, another LB from UGA, ran a 4.58 today. One of the most instinctive players to come through UGA in a while.

    Oh yea, there's this, too...

Romo gets 6 year $108M deal, $55M guaranteed. Since I'm the only Dallas fan in here I don't know why I'm talking. :anonymous:
