.22 LR

Just waited almost two hours at Dunham's for a brick of ammo. At least the price was normal. $19.99 for 525 rounds.

 

.22LR is hard to come by these days. Glad you got some.

Good find. The only 22 lr I can find within 50 miles of me is $6.00 per box of 50 with a limit of one box per person per day.

 

I saw $119 for 550 rounds online the other day. That's insane.

 

We have a bunch of 22LR that we bought a couple years ago. So I guess I'm lucky that ive got so much. I don't understand how 22 bullets are hard to come by though. That is like the least likely one to have restrictions and be used for self defense.

 

Because everyone and their brother owns a .22, and during the ammo scare everyone bought it all up until it went into backorder.

 

I bought 10,000 rounds at $4.50 a 500 round box last summer. Been bartering it for .223 and 9mm boxes the last couple months with friends. Excellent return on my investment. Next time it goes down stock up. It'll work out in the end

 

How come shotgun ammo is easier to get then? Also, how long is this backorder gonna be going on? I know people are still buying it up as soon as it comes in, but how come they can't boost their production to get more ammo sold?

Trust me guys - it's loosening up. More and more every day is coming across shelves. It might be a while before we see $15 bricks again, but the days of people panic-buying high dollar target ammo for their backyard plinker are soon to be over. Those of us who shoot the target stuff will probably get to take advantage of the guy who panic-bought Lapua and Eley for $15 a box and are glad to sell it for $8 a box to go buy two $4 boxes of plinking ammo once it's back on the shelf.

 

I hope you're right. I haven't done a whole lot of target shooting lately because I'm in my last brick of CCI SV. I'm not going to spend the moolah on Wolf ME for iron sight shooting

 

I just picked up a bucket o bullets 1400rds at Academy for 60$.Plus i seem to find plenty here in Texas.

 

try finding 12g ammo right now lol..

Looks like I need to go to my local Walmart to stock up on some. My Ruger 10/22 seems to only like Federal brand ammo

 

i work at walmart in the sporting goods area and if i see .22(lr,mag,short) i get excited for people as well as 12g if you find it buy it!! its really hard to find

 

12 guage is on sale here. Less than six bucks for Federal.

 

What city? I can't find any.

 

Full shelves of 12 ga in my area, except maybe 00 Buck. Cases and cases of target loads though, and plenty of turkey loads for the seasonal shelves.
