    My plan has been to sell my dual sport and use that as the majority of the down payment for a cheap, used commuter car. My wife was not thrilled with this plan. Today I saw an add for a used tire machine and joked about buying it (I have a fetish for tires) and my wife said that if I give up the plan of getting the car, I can buy the tire machine instead. So...2006 Hyundai Tiburon or tire machine and balancer. Wut do?

    Can't you get a lot of tires installed for the price of the machine? I like using a legit shop because they honor the mileage claims if the tires wear out early. And free rotation and balance is pretty easy.

    It would pay for itself after about 30 uses. Plus, I can charge friends a much cheaper rate than the local shops and help pay for it faster.

    Tire machine cause you can make money, than buy an older corolla. Cheap on gas, bullit proof. Hyundai has made leaps and bounds in reliability over the last few years. I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything 08 and up.

    TIRE MACHINE! Not too many shops will touch my beadlocks and you still need a spreader to get the one edge over the lip. So can I come to you when I need a tire change :D

    They can, As a matter of fact that's where I had them mounted and balanced. But people have changed there recently and the guy I dealt with all the time is no longer there and they are giving me different prices for things. Not really a fan of that. My same wheel was 20 bucks more expensive when I went to the next guy. And told him that, he looked at the invoice even and said, "thats why he no longer works here". and couldnt give me the same price...
