NW WA Meet / BS Thread

So I'm attempting to put a small lift in my 2006 access trd.... AAL in back and 5100 in front. Anyone have any experience with what non traditional tools I might need and how long it might take to do all corners???

 

if you are using your stock coils you''ll need spring compressor to disassemble the front struts to replace the shock. Either that or take them to a shop to have them done.

You'll need at least 2 jack stands and a floor jack will be very nice to have.

I just have to rent the spring compressors from Autozone and i'll be well on the way.

Dang my bad, Ben. You are absolutely correct - my recollection sucks. Must be the ADHD.

 

Do you have torque wrenches, C-Clamp for the AAL and a decent set of hex wrenches? All fairly traditional tools but just checking.

 

Don't you need a grinder for the middle pin? I don't remember

 

Or a hacksaw, it doesn't take much.

 

Having a few c clamps would help with the aal to. Taking your sway bar completely off to get it out of the way also

 

Dammit! I had written a detailed reply to the DIY lift question, and responses to everyone else too, but I guess I didn't hit 'post' before I left work. Oh well, maybe it will be saved in the cache. I don't feel like writing it all out again, so I'll just say What's Up Fellas!

We did a meet at XXX last summer or the summer before. We got like 10-12 people to show up. Was fun, but a little boring after everyone met and ate some food.

Is there anywhere around Issaquah/North Bend to go driving or something? That way you can make XXX the meet-up / ending location. Just a thought.

Regardless I would be down for a meet @ XXX. They have a calendar on their website, you just need to pick an open weekend day since its gets kinda crazy during shows.

 

It's a nice "fast food" type place in issaquah that hosts a ton of car meets and special events. Great food.

XXX meet is a GREAT idea but keep in mind when they have events they are JAMMED!! Earlier might be better or paying attention to a day they don't have an event...

I still need to upgrade to an electric fan...and double check all of the holes in my cab heh. I did unplug every electrical connector I could find and dialectic grease the hell out of them.
