    I think I would honestly love this truck if they had a mid travel setup instead of a db lift. I don't mind the bumper either.

    anyone have FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE of using an ALUMINUM bike carrier...
    have have used the steel ones by versa haul for the last 10 years...
    but sold that and am looking for a decent aluminum one. rated for 300 -400 pds

    I thought of that - the pads have lasted 60K with no dust to clean up but the rotors warped - my guess because the steering wheel vibrates a little when brakes are applied so I was looking for a rotor that wouldn't warp. Thanks.

    "The wobbling steering wheel is an EFFECT of warped rotors" Yes I know that just didn't write it properly I guess. The reason I don't want OEM rotors is because I'm sure they would warp just like the ones that are on the truck now. Thanks.

    Wouldn't have this issue if you would've kept the one you used to have. I have a few friends that carry their dual sports on aluminum carriers. And most of them are hand built and nothing special

    That arm over the seat thing is the most terrible idea I've ever seen. Bike suspensions don't compress while you're traveling? I saw there's a foot peg mount(still bad) and the tie down loops(best idea). When you are carrying a bike on a hitch carrier or a trailer with the tire channels always make sure you tie the back wheel down tight

    I don't worry about that compressing the forks thing. As long as its not tied down for days it's fine.

    You ain't getting a lift who you kidding. Been talking bout modding a truck for almost 1/2 a decade and still never finished slider install. Lol. Who gives a shit what others think anyway. Do what you want because it works not for looks. Function > Form lol

    Well, only had other truck 3 yrs.... ;) and slider WERE completely installed. Beigng the nj thread, I take the 100% response, filter out 96% bullshit criticism, and general douchebaggery, and use remaing information to form opinions. :) tires are going on because lift is coming. I don't really want to cut anything. And assumed bigger would be better for off road use, since taco is no longer dd. narrowed down to tread wrights 285 guard dogs or 265 claw. Arranged for lift via Toy tec as I feel for what I will do, that's a good start for now.
