Never weighed it, but a shade over 100 is what I was told when it was built.

    Wow!!!!!!! I like.

Where did you get the switches you mounted behind your gear selector? We have one like that on our 4runner and can't find another one.

My sPOD came with 6 Contura switches. The two behind the shifter are just extras from that kit that I cut holes for.

I did have to clearance some plastic off the shifter assembly underneath the trim panel to get them to fit there, but it was no big deal.

    It's a full kit man.

    $345 shipped got me:

    - Pre built fuse block and relay bank. 40A relays, 3x30A fuses, 3x15A fuses.
    - Mounting bracket.
    - Cover.
    - Wire harness for switches.
    - 6 switches.
    - They included a bunch of zip ties, heat shrink, and spade terminals.

All you do is mount the sPOD, mount your switches, run the wire harness through the firewall and plug the switches in. Then you run + and - from accessory to the sPOD. Then connect the sPOD to the battery. Any accessory up to 30A per rail. It's seriously fucking cheating.

Some guys say it's better to go with the homebrew stuff, but I know for a fact most of them have $200 to $300 in their setups when it's all said and done and it takes them a LOT longer to wire up the fuse block/relay block on the bench.

Also, all the fuses and relays are plug and play, so if you do blow one, you can just pull it and replace it right there on the trail. That also reminds me I need to pick up a few spare relays and some spare fuses before my next trail trip. Has a 50A inline circuit breaker from the battery, and low-voltage cutoff as well, so if your battery gets below 10.6, it'll cutoff your accessories before you drain out. It's the best option out there by far I think.

Not all of us are electrical engys :D

I know enough about wiring not to kill myself, but I certainly didn't feel like doing up my own fuse/relay bank and then hunting gremlins if they showed up. Better to get something that Just Works.

Can't take any credit. The sPOD guys did all the work. All I had to do was cleanly route a single wire loom around the engine bay for each accessory. It did help keep the engine bay nice and clean after everything was wired though. You can hardly tell anything's been added.

i do like how they went to a connector for the part of the harness that goes to the switches. alot better than how mine is. also, on mine, the LVCO isnt built in. it used to be seperate

Made it a (slightly) easier install, but it also requires you to write down/remember which color wire on the harness goes to which switch. With your setup, you can change switches just by joggling the spades around.

almost everyone that doesnt have one says its a ripoff and to much money. but for the ease to install and add accessories, it makes it really nice and to me, worth it

Don't forget that to completely homebrew it you get to spend like 2 or 3 days bench wiring the fucking thing together. sPOD you just open the box and start mounting stuff. I did it all in about 2 hours, including cutting the switch mount locations.

True. It's still very clean looking. Are you coming to the Raleigh meet next weekend?
