Matt, are the trails still open up your way. You posted about riding them and then it kinda disappeared. You want to hit them on the 30th since Kyle's meet has moved?

I just been busy and no one really said anything about it so I kinda forgot about it.

Posting here and in the meets thread. If anyone has, or knows where we can QUICKLY obtain a 7.5 inch reverse rotation front diff (1995-2001) let me or Dave know. We need the carrier housing on the inside. Does not matter gear ratio. Thanks!

Well guys, I ALMOST had a 99 sr5 runner with brand new mudders and an e-locker!
Found it lastnight and contacted the guy AFTER I saw the price and how many miles were on it. 155k miles and 6,000 dollars buys it. Well his phone died lastnight while we were texting back and forth and texted and called him this morning. He responded to my texts this morning and never heard anything back from him. well the he sold it AFTER I told him i had the cash in hand this morning. I found that out this evening on my way home from markita hills.

Yeah, I've found 4Runners much cheaper then Tacoma's, pretty much everywhere I look. Tacoma's are just stupid popular right now, and everyone wants one. Supply and demand...

thats all it is really. the thing that gets me the most is the 4runner is just as capable off-road and on road as the tacoma. Yes there are OBVIOUSLY differences in the two. They both have the same motor, trans, and transfer case!

Logically think about one of the biggest differences: Tacoma trucks have beds that can carry bigger items. More popular for a work truck than an SUV is. And some guys still have that mentality of thinking that an SUV is a "family vehicle" and they want a "truck"

Bill's point is good. I found that the junk I was carrying was generally a) small enough to fit in an SUV, and b)not too dirty to put in an SUV.

Larger, or dirtier junk? = truck
SUV sized, and not too dirty? = SUV

That, and a full size SUV (or a full size truck, which I didn't really want) has way more back seat accommodations for the car seats. I did look at the crewmax Tundras though. Just way more than I really wanted / needed. Damn nice though.

I assume you're talking about the other entrance to the slab? I live about 2 miles from the Montevallo entrance. I've takin the locals out there wheeling before.

I even have a video of it somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.

Don't do much shooting, but wheel there occasionally.

Yeah I guess so, its off a dirt road in the back of helena, so I assume thats it. I've thought about taking the truck out there just to ride, but don't know much about wheeling so I haven't yet. Plus I have a 2WD taco, so I don't know if that matters or not.

Ahh, been there, done that. My 07 was a Pre-Runner. Get yourself a rear locker and you'll do good in most situations. Just can't be afraid of the skinny pedal. :)

You'll have to forgive me for asking a newbie question, but rear locker = rear differential lock right? If so, I got that, so I should be good to go. Haha, I'm a pretty skinny dude, I'm not afraid of anything skinny!

EDIT: can't believe I asked that question. May take it out there this weekend early saturday morning.

I thought so, I'm pretty unfamiliar with my truck at this time. WIll be an easy thing to fix with TW and this summer rolling in. I've never been in the back route out your way, will have to check that out one weekend for sure.
