Did you only get a military rebate? Did you get a discount for being a usaa member?

Hey Guys! My First Post! Proud to be a part of the Taco family. I used to own a 2003 TRD O/R Tacoma before I sold it in 2010 and I missed it Dearly.

I just bought a Super White 4dr, Prerunner, V6, TRD Sport, JBL/Entune, Tow Package, All Weather Floor Mats, and Black Step Rails.

$29960 not including taxes or anything
From John Elway's Crown Toyota in Ontario, CA

What's your guys' thoughts on the price I paid? Good deal? Great Deal?

What was your MSRP on this truck?

I'm getting quotes on a Double Cab V6, Auto, TRD-Offroad, Towing, and carpeted floor mats MSRP of $32,895.....quotes of $31,000 before taxes and such.

Not sure how people are getting so much below invoice.

Knowing the MSRP and what you paid before TTL is the best way for us to see what kind of rebates/discounts your getting.

It is the only way. An OTD can be confusing because taxes and fees are different depending on your location. Taxes are different for everyone.

    List the MSRP
    List any rebates
    List your options
List price you paid before taxes, title, license and any doc fee.

... ^^^ ... FWIW ... you can cancel that extended warranty and get it on line for about 50%.

Also ... make sure that you bought a Toyota OEM Platinum Warranty and not one of those "regional and/or dealer backed "wantabe" warranties.

    Good luck man ... :D

$400 over list with etching and brushed sidesteps installed.
Got high end of black book trade value for my previous vehicle which needed a couple minor repairs.
Tax saving on trade covered the gap between trade and list.

    Worked for me.

I am going to reply to my own thread since I bought the truck yesterday (Saturday, March 30, 2013). As stated above, the dealer wanted what was listed on the MSRP, $32,513 which included the TRD Sport Extra Value Package for a 2013 Double Cab 4x4, 6 speed manual transmission.

I told the dealer hell no. We agreed to $30,500 and that includes TTL. Also, I traded in my 2011 Honda Fit which had roughly 13,000 miles on it and it was in excellent condition for $11,300. I agreed to buy a 4 year maintenance plan ($995) which includes oil changes, tire rotations, any vehicle repairs, etc etc etc. Also, they threw in a 6 year 100,000 mile warranty for free and I get free emercency roadside service for 4 years too. It came out to about $20,195. I am going to finance it for 4 years at an interest rate of 2.9% Needless to say, I am very happy.

Lastly, I will pick up my new truck in 2 to 3 weeks since they had to order it because they didn't have any 6 speed transmissions in their inventory. I bought the truck at Freeman Toyota in Hurst, Tx. If anyone is looking at buying a Toyota in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, i highly recommend Freeman Toyota. It was the first time that I've bought a vehicle where I thought I got a great deal and they were easy to work with too. Below, is what came with my new truck:

It was around mid 32k. I can't remember the exact number at the moment.

For others that bought the truck, did you guys get to see an invoice that a dealer might have printed out? Like when I calculated the invoice on nada, and then saw the dealer invoice paper, there was a difference around $450.

I asked the finance manager why there was a difference and he pointed out that there's a TDA (Toyota Development Advertising) fee that all dealers pay?

He said there was not really anyway he could get rid of it :(

    Thoughts?

thank you. I wanted to get a new 2013 Toyota Tacoma truck, but I went to the dealer with the idea that I didn't have to get one if the price wasn't right since my 2011 Honda Fit was running great and it was paid off.

Next, a couple of my friends told me what helped was it was the end of the month and the trade in value of my car and my credit score. As stated above, the salesman was very helpful in reaching a fair deal for both of us. IMHO, this was the 1st time that I've ( I am 41) ever bought a vehicle without it being a hassle.

When I get my new truck in a few weeks, I will have to post some pics of the truck on here.

When I did my research on my 2013 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab with 6 speed transmission, I used the Consumer Reports site for buying new trucks( and cars). I typed in everything that was included in my truck and it showed me that the dealer paid somewhere around $29,500. THE MSRP that was on the truck was right around $32,500. I just negotiated with the saleperson to get it to $30,500 with TTL which I thought was fair.
