Go with a color very close to the org if not the org. It can be a little cheaper for you because you can get away with doing the jam. If you want to do a full color change red, yellow, and silver are the most expensive. Where in NC are you?

I used to live in Hunterville. I moved around for about 7 seven years. I am coming back in a few months though. I'll be moving my water transfer printing shop, RL Hydro-Graphix, to Charlotte. I do some other painting on the side.

Pretty big demand man, i mainly do stuff with AR-15s and motorcycle wheels. A guy back toward Mount Airy does it, but hes really just getting into it. I keep him on the basic stuff.

881 Front coils, Bilstien 5100's all the way front set to "0" Icon Dynamic's mini leafs in rear, stock tires.
Changing color is usually a mistake, paint flakes off where its impossible to prep and sand then you see the color under the new finish.

If it's going to just be a beater truck, for lack of a better term, I wouldn't put any money towards paint.

But if you feel the need, I'd Raptor Line the whole thing... flat black

Bedliner is some heavy stuff though. I don't get why people do that to an entire vehicle.

I'd go a dark grey metallic. I think that would look awesome and unique on a 1st gen since it was never offered. I'm sure there were a bunch here who would have wanted dark grey 1st gens over black. :D

There's one guy who has his 1st gen double cab painted Magnetic Gray Metallic (2nd gen color).

    I thought I had it bookmarked but I don't.

By far the hottest looking color on a 1st gen IMO

I'd love to see it! That would be my plan if my black paint starts to fade. Gray on a 1st gen would look sweet!

My searching is coming up short.

Not that I could ever do it (going from red to dark gray) but that would be my first color of choice.
