Well, I took Kerri and the kids to markita hills today and took some pics of the truck. BTW if you get caught back there, just found this out today AFTER we left, that you will get hit with a $10,000 fine for trespassing. There was a girl that drowned in a jeep. The jeep had flopped off the ravine into the river and she drowned. She had a 5 point harness on and couldn't get out of it.
    On to the pics.....
gonna fix the pics after I email them to myself and upload them from the computer. it only uploaded one picture....

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
Since Kyle still hasn't got on.

"Starts at 9:00 AM, meet at the Wavaho gas station at 9:30 AM and then stragglers can call for directions. Plans are to mod a little then we'll wheel at that place you (paul) and Chris showed us".

There you have it. The wheeling place is actually pretty decent.

OK, good. As long as there is some wheeling going on. I have to say that the big Krawlers event west of there was pretty tempting. Don't worry, still love ya, but even when I mentioned a while back hosting this years event, the same reply came back, that people didn't want to drive almost 4 hours to get down here. So there! Hahaha.

Got any pictures of this place? What does it consist of? Curious if mostly mud, mostly rock, or combination.

And I just found out that someone has stolen my sig and is using it on TW! Shame on them! hahaha

One or two things modded... Check out the build thread

also to those that are in the birmingham area, i know a lot think its fun to wheel at lakeshore but found out this weekend that bessemer police have been put on high alert (they have 4 4x4 units) and if caught it will be a $5000 fine and possible jail time for being out there. a few businesses have been vandalized and broken in to and the businesses have had enough.... to put it politely, they have put a price on heads for those going out there.

long story short, i would stay far away from that place cuz they are looking for blood so to say.

btw who all is going that will be either traveling through or residing in birmingham??

I have some 15" rims if you want to give me those tires.. LOL!

Correct! Sorry.. I was at a wedding..

Oh yeah! gonna test my new wheels and tires out.. I might try to do some welding (or get someone to weld for me) the transfer case sticks.. It's the last thing i need to be completed.. I had to sacrafice some ride quality to get the ride hieght I wanted.. But yeah.. Bring what you want to mod.. I just recommend not bringing anything that requires you to crawl around under your truck. I have a garage and stuff just don't have a paved driveway yet. So we are going to a couple places for photo ops and some definite tough wheeling..

Paul, Bring your jeep and I'll cut your fenders for you.

I started working on getting my transfer case skid mounted this weekend. It took quite a bit of time with my jigsaw and 3 test fits before I could finally start drilling the final 2 mounting bolts. Step up bits FTMFW, but it still sucks drilling upward through the frame. Still have a little bit more to do trimming that bastard and getting it mounted, but it should be ready to go.

Glad to hear Kyle confirming a ride. I was worried I wasn't going to see how well Dave's Taco performed, and how well mine was after the extensive work we have done. Not sure about up there, but Birmingham is showing AWESOME weather for this coming up weekend.

As of right now, Dave's compressor and tank are installed. I am working on the piping and wiring for the lockers and the controls. The ARB is installed in the front diff. All I have left is the final air connection on the housing and that housing will be ready for installation. After that then the rear locker will be going in. Anyone thinking of doing an ARB air locker, just let me know. I have this down to a science now!

As for Lil Beast, well the front diff has been redone with the Aussie locker in it, and once I get the ARB into Dave's rear diff, I will be installing the Yukon locker into my rear diff. Then a set of borrowed wheels and tires until I decide on and get the money for mine, and all will be set!

I am going. I need someone's assistance changing out a cv shaft this week or at the meet. Idc! Also, I will have the 35's and wheel spacers to put on before we go! If someone helps me change out a cv shaft, I have a lift at my shop the truck will go on! Also, it will be on a rainy day so, I am shooting maybe Wednesday or Thursday.

Yeah, it didn't take me very long to determine that i needed something over my hands and arms once I got started. No blistering at this time, so I think I learned in time!

Easy fix! Just flip the truck upside down and then you don't have to worry about drilling upward!
